Campsites and motorhome aires near Cherbourg
Two campsites lie within Cherbourg itself, by the beach at Collignon. You will find more south of the town in Tollevast, along the Val de Saire coast and in La Hague. Several sites have dedicated aires for motorhomes.

At Collignon
The two sites in town are in the Tourlaville district east of the centre, close to Collignon beach. The beach is open all year and has lifeguards from 1 July to 31 August, when dogs are banned from the sand. From here you look out over the breakwaters and forts of the roadstead. - Camping de Collignon: 3 stars, 90 pitches, on Rue des Algues near the beach. A motorhome pitch is among the facilities.
- Les Cottages de Collignon: 4 stars, 91 pitches, on Rue des Dauphins, 150 m from the sandy beach. The site is close to shops, buses, the railway station and the ferry, and has a motorhome aire with 5 spaces. Contact details and bookings are on the campsite’s website.
Tollevast, south of town
Le Village Vert campsite is in Tollevast, 3 km south of Cherbourg on the RN 13. This 4-star site has 125 pitches on 5 ha, an indoor pool and its own motorhome area. Its position on the RN 13 suits you if you are driving up from the south.
Anse du Brick and Fermanville
East of Cherbourg, between Maupertus-sur-Mer and Fermanville, lies the Anse du Brick, a small cove in the Val de Saire with a sand and shingle beach backed by green cliffs.
- Sandaya L'Anse du Brick: 5 stars, with direct beach access, swimming pools and a setting on the GR223 coastal path. The site is open from 2 April to 26 September 2027. Dates and bookings are on the campsite’s website.
- Camping de la Plage: 3 stars, 71 pitches, in Fermanville, 400 m from the sea and the GR223. It has a motorhome aire with 7 spaces.

In La Hague
West of Cherbourg there are two municipal campsites in La Hague:
- Camping du Hable: 2 stars, 59 pitches, in Omonville-la-Rogue. The site is open from 1 April to 19 October, and all year for motorhomes. The aire has 27 spaces.
- Camping de Clairefontaine: 3 stars, 100 pitches, in Siouville-Hague on the west coast. A motorhome aire with 40 spaces is in Siouville-Hague on Avenue des Peupliers.

In Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, the aire at Camping Les Cottages de Collignon is the designated motorhome stopover. It has 5 spaces. Other aires nearby:
